Getting Started
We are finally here
Here at Mystical Meadows we are finally on the final beginning stages. We have our licensing in place and have created our first product. We created labels and are ready for the next stage, finding places to sell it. We are looking at the Shanty Town in ShowLow, AZ and are waiting for their reply and we will also be attending some Farmers markets in Concho, ShowLow and Pinetop AZ this spring and summer. We hope to meet you there.
We purchased 75 chicks today to start our flock, which consist of Turkens, Cornish Rocks, a few Turkeys and a few Ducks. This will be our future flock for our eggs and meat.
We also purchased a bunch of Strawberry, Raspberry and Blackberry bushes to get our berry patches started. We look forward to being able to freeze dry our very own berries and put them into our granola instead of having to buy them from far away places. Knowing the exact source of our ingredients is very important to me. And by keeping it local it is also easier to keep the prices down.
Our Dairy is still in the process, funds are slow so getting the building able to pass inspection is taking longer than we had hoped, but we are still pushing forward, taking each step little by little even if they are tiny baby steps and at times it almost feels like we are going no where. We are hoping that the puffed cereal and granola products will start bringing in the funds we need to get the building finished.
I hope you have a wonderful day.
